Review: IPA Social Event at AAIC 2018
As with past events, the Alzheimer's Association International Conference 2018, brought together over 5,000 attendees from more than 70 countries across the globe. Held in Chicago, IL (US), IPA attended once again as an exhibitor, sharing information on IPA membership, upcoming events and the new online Spanish-language psychogeriatrics course.
During the conferences, IPA announced the dates for the 2019 Congress,
4-7 September in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
New this year, IPA held a social event at the Shedd Aquarium on Wednesday, 25 July. Over 40 IPA members and their guests joined IPA President, Mary Sano for networking, live jazz music, merriment and even fireworks to close out the evening. Attendees were also able to view the Shedd's exhibits after-hours. All with a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline.

But it wasn't just about enjoying the beautiful environment.
Attendees also heard from IPA Editors including, International Psychogeriatrics Journal Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Dilip Jeste, IPA Bulletin Editor-in-Chief Dr. Tzung-Jeng Hwang and IPA's Digital Editor, Dr. Maria Lapid.
