Social Workers
IPA’s Social Workers Professional Discipline Forum is a group dedicated to raising awareness of social work, social factors, and social science relating to geriatric mental health issues, and aiming to promote the mental health of the aged, through the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of mental illness.
It is an exciting opportunity to share unique perspectives and challenges with colleagues from everywhere in the world.
Through the Social Workers Professional Discipline Forum, strategies and activities will emerge to assist not only other social workers but also our colleagues across disciplines and, most importantly, older people themselves. This Forum has a strong networking and communications structure that supports the sharing of experiences, information and knowledge as well as documenting professional social work. Colleagues from the discipline who are willing to apply their expertise, enthusiasm, and organizational skills are encouraged to join.
