Publications

At the International Psychogeriatric Association, there is a strong commitment to sharing knowledge.  Fundamental to our mission is to facilitate the connection and collaboration between members of recent and relevant information.  With the diverse issues in geriatric mental health and the varied perspectives of our members and their roles and locations around the world, IPA is pleased to present an outstanding array of publication resources for our members:

International Psychogeriatrics 
We take great pride in our scientific journal as it celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019. The Journal is published monthly and is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed global journal for researchers, clinicians, and educators in the field of Psychogeriatrics. Members receive a subscription to the journal and may also review most content on the IPA website. Others may subscribe through the publisher, Cambridge University Press.

IPA Bulletin 
The IPA Bulletin is the newsletter for the field of Psychogeriatrics and the International Psychogeriatrics Association.  With information on the IPA association as well as reports on programs and activities from around the globe, the IPA Bulletin describes a dynamic picture of the field of Psychogeriatrics in the world today.

Updated on an ongoing basis, www.ipa-online.org provides important information for the field of Psychogeriatrics and general public, as well as exclusive information for IPA members in its members-only section, IPA Members Area.

Other Publications

As needed and as possible, IPA develops other publications for Psychogeriatric professionals and those dealing with the mental health concerns of the geriatric patient.

IPA Complete Guides to Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD)
Exclusively available to IPA members in the IPA Members Area, this three-volume online resource provides valuable and comprehensive information directed to the various professionals: physician specialist, primary care physician and nurse.

Guide to the Psychiatry of Old Age
Published by Cambridge University Press and endorsed by the International Psychogeriatric Association, this essential book for any professional providing geriatric mental health care provides a summary of existing knowledge, best practice and future challenges for the specialty, from a global perspective.
